Silk Scarves

My scarves are printed on a variety of types of silk and all are hand-hemmed. Some scarves are pre-dyed with a natural dye: lac produces pinks to reds, logwood produces purples and indigo soft greens and blues. Yellows come from fustic, dyer's greenweed or weld.

I use a variety of leaves to create the prints. These include: liquidambar, cotinous, eucalyptus, oak, sweet chestnut, prunus, sumac and maples.
